West Channel Lighthouse
Located in Christmas Michigan (just 5 miles west of Munising), the West Channel Lighthouse was also called the "End of the Road Rear Range Light". Look carefully for this lighthouse on the left - just before entering Christmas.

Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse
Built in the 1860's, the Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse (featured in the top portion of this website), was placed at the entrance to Grand Island Bay and Harbor, Lake Superior. This was placed to allow vessels to use Munising Harbor as a major harbor for refuge. It operated until 1913 and has since been saved from crumbling by a group of private citizens and the owner of the property. The wood has weathered to a gray from the exposure to the elements.

Munising Range Lights
Located downtown Munising and just behind on a hill in the trees, these range lights guide vessels into the harbor.
